I think it's weird when I have days that I'm not listening to music, especially when music is such an important facet of my life. But the last two days have been very lackluster when it comes to the listening (with the exception of yesterday's song).
Song 17- "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus
Ever hear of the Scala Girls Choir. Well, a pair of brothers had this cute idea- let's get little girls to sing popular music is chorus. It ranges from "I Touch Myself" to "Muscle Museum". Well, one of the tunes they do is "Teenage Dirtbag". And it's fitting because it's a teen angst tune about a guy who just wants to take the hot girl out to an Iron Maiden concert but she's got a gun-toting jackass for a boyfriend. I dug Scala's version and sought out the original and was pleasantly surprised by Brendan Brown's high pitched voice. It made the song that much better. |
