We are up to D in the A to Z: Women in Music and I wanna talk about a band that I was really upset to hear broke-up. I was a bit fan back in the day of the band Drain STH. I picked up the album "Horror Wrestling" on a whim (as I did many albums back in the day). I had heard one of their songs on WSOU and I was wowed to hear a metal band headed up by a woman that didn't sound like Lita Ford. Then I found out it was an all woman band and it became even better. Then I heard the album and I was sold. It was a darker more metal version of the grunge music that was still swimming around (it was 96 so Grunge was beginning to die out). The music was phenomenal but the band never could hold it together. And that's a shame because they were really good.
