In the land of songs that never got the play it deserves, today's song ranks very highly. The song is by the band Apocalyptica. Simple concept, take a cello quartet and play alternative metal. Think Rasputina with more crunch, less vocals and no girls. So how does it fit into the Women in Music A to Z theme? They aren't completely devoid of women in their music. The song that turned me on to the band featured female vocals. They came from guest vocalist Sandra Nasic. Nasic is a member of the band Guano Apes. The addition of Nasic to the cello rock made for something exceptional.
