The 10kdays Tribute to women in music continues with the letter U. It wasn't that hard to do, thanks to my wife. It happened that my wife was listening to music as I was doing my planning and what comes on...Unwoman. Yes, Unwoman is a woman. I know the name brings up all sorts of other implications but get past it. Maybe if you see a pic.

See, Erica "Unwoman" Mulkey is quite the woman. I can swoon over her all day but I'll refrain. She actually contacted my wife and told her she might like some Unwoman music, since my wife is a Rasputina fan and Unwoman has worked with the Traveling Ladies Cello Society. She heard one song and she was sold. And by osmosis, so was I. I love the sound of cellos in alternative music. She's not as rocking as Raspy but she has a very strong voice, where as Melora doesn't. Unwoman is also very electronic in her approach. Listening to Rasputina and Unwoman is like putting together two pieces of a whole.
