Rock Cliche #4 is the perfect situation. What does that mean? It's a reference to the Weezer song of the same name. Well, moreso the music video. The music video is the story of Weezer before they became Weezer. In the video, the story is that Weezer used to be a band called Weeze led up by a singer played by Elisha Cuthbert. The singer made the band a living hell. And there's no better rock cliche than the lead singer with ego problems. The best example is W. Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns & Roses who is notorious for firing band members and the Chinese Democracy album which has been in the works since the Great Flood. Second runner up is Billy Corgan who is notorious for taking his bandmates parts and throwing them out and doing them himself.

One lead singer that doesn't seem to have that kind of ego problem is Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls who believes whole heartedly that one thing a musician needs to do is stay humble.
