Every February bands get together for a common goal...making a bunch of awesome albums. And several of those bands are bands from Songfight. And every March, I look at their work here in 10kdays. First up, the album from Balance Lost. Over at Songfight, he goes by a lot of names- Furrypedro, Carpetburn, Those Meddling Kids, but here he decided to use the name Balance Lost. The name comes from his collaboration with Canadian musician Melvin called Balance Lost/ Balance Regained. His music is very math rock with great technical guitar wankery but topped off by his vocals which are unmistakenly British. The standout song on his new album "A Nuetron Bean" has his guitar wonders but layers it with crazy casio playing and rap!
